Btw, I just noticed your link to the Genographic Project, so I checked it out and it sounds totally cool! (except for the $99 US). I was just wondering if you had actually ordered the starter kit, and if so, is it a worthwhile investment?

I did order the kit, swabbed it up, and sent it back. I got really interesting results that I totally would not have guessed! It's just kind of interesting to know. It turns out that my mitochondrial DNA can be traced back to the people who first crossed the Bering Strait! You get cool maps and a DVD and stuff like that too. I guess it just depends on how much you want to know your genetic history. The coolest thing is being able to see the migratory path--from Africa to America. For me it wasn't a hard choice--either I buy a pair of awesome jeans at the GAP or...I find out my genetic history. haha. Hope that helps, and if you do decide to do it let me know!!
