Mmm that was yummy

So, L and I went to see Sin City last night. Not a bad movie, really, considering that it was based on a comic strip. Lot's of excess gutted gore, lot's of T&A--in other words, the usual Hollywood action movie. BUT (and that "but" is a big one) what is up with all the woman beating in this movie? I can't think of ONE woman that appeared in the movie that did not get beaten or murdered in some way. Granted the men in the film get their asses kicked too and at least on a couple of occasions by a woman. So you could argue that the pain is distributed somewhat evenly among the sexes. But here's what really got to me...all the women that got punched seemed to *like* it. They'd get punched and then bat their eyes and smile as if to say "Mmm that was yummy, can I have another?"

I don't get it.

I guess, considering the drama that took place in the hallway the other night it's pretty reasonable to be stuck on this track, but I promise to move on to other topics soon. Untill then, can anyone explain the woman beating in this movie??
